Arson
Brestar Khongwir and one other lodged a complaint that on January 31, 2015, unknown miscreants set fire to 310 saplings belonging to Soil & Water Conservation Department at Mawsmai Motkharai village (EKH).
Pynkhem Kharmih lodged a complaint that on March 22 unknown miscreants set fire to 18 saplings belonging to Soil & Water Conservation Department at Khliehshnong, Umtung, Hiang and Raidbteng villages (EKH).
Gutsman Synrem lodged a complaint that on March 21 unknown miscreants set fire to 2,380 saplings belonging to Soil & Water Conservation Department at Nohkalikai village (EKH).
Rape
On Feb. 20, 2015 around 8 am, one Kaweri Wahlang raped one nine-year-old girl at Mawlum Tyrsad (EKH).
One dead
On April 4 at around 1.45 am, one Maruti Alto car (ML-05L-7006) driven by Balatympang Khongmawloh (17 yrs) dashed against one stationary truck at Saitbakon, Pynursla (EKH). As a result, driver of Maruti Alto car died on the spot while one occupant Banpynshngain Khongtani (20) sustained injuries and was removed to NEIGRIHMS.
On April 2 at around 10 am, one Mahindra Bolero Pick-up (number not known) fell into a gorge at Pyndenlyngdoh village (SWKH). As a result, Darihun Syiemlieh (24 yrs) died on the spot while three others sustained injuries and were removed to CHC Mawkyrwat.
Body recovered
On April 3, body of Chetan Bahadur Kunwar (40/45 yrs) was recovered from Khlieh Iewduh, Shillong. Cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital Shillong for PM examination.
Assault
On April 3 at around 6.30 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted Niakad Hussain (36), driver of truck UP-25-AT-8387) at Paltan Bazar, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
NGT ban violation
On March 26, residents of Nongtrai village (WKH) detected two coal laden trucks (AS-18C-4521 & AS18C-0951) at Nongtrai under Aradonga OP (WKH). Later, Police seized both the trucks but the drivers managed to escape.
