NONGSTOIN: SWAT teams and police personnel from Shallang PS are conducting search operations to rescue a supervisor of BSC C&C JV Company who was abducted by unknown miscreants on Sunday morning.
BSC C&C JV Company is implementing the Shillong – Nongstoin – Tura highway project.
West Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, S.Nongtnger, informed that the incident occurred at around 6 am when the supervisor, identified as Pran Singh, was travelling on a motorbike through Nongchram in West Khasi Hills bordering East Garo Hills District.
Nongtnger informed that neither any ransom demand has been made by anyone nor has any militant outfit claimed responsibility for the abduction of the construction supervisor.
