SHILLONG: One Mohammed Muslim Miah was handed over to police after he allegedly attempted to rape a 15-year-old girl at Nokatgre village in South West Garo Hills on Tuesday morning.
When the girl raised an alarm, the accused try to flee away but was apprehended by people at Zikzak Bazar.
In a similar incident, according to a complaint lodged on April 10 one Iohbok Shadap has been raping a 17-year-old girl at Ingsaw, Mawhati for the last eight months.
