Pala appointed as convenor for five N-E states

NEW DELHI: Shillong MP, Vincent H Pala has been nominated as the Congress convenor in charge of five N-E States of Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the former union minister on Wednesday urged the Congress to urgently prepare special institutional arrangement in the AICC to retain and expand its support base amongst the PIOs, OCIs and NRIs in all countries to counter the severe onslaught by the ruling BJP.
In a letter to party vice president Rahul Gandhi, Pala said Prime Minister Modi was spreading canards against Congress during his frequent visits to foreign countries.
