JOWAI: A woman was killed while five others, including the driver, two women and two men, were critically injured when the car (ML04A-4144) they were travelling in collided with a truck (AS01FC-9025) at Kongong near Wapungshnong in East Jaintia Hills on Sunday evening.
The woman, identified as Ple Phawa of Tuberkmai Shnong died after reaching Jowai Civil Hospital.
Sources informed that the car was on its way from Jalaphet to Tuberkmai Shnong when it was hit by the ten-wheeler truck.
