Kohima: The Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) on Monday ordered a court of inquiry to find the operational lapses, that led to the casualties.
According to official sources, following the ambush, the Assam Rifles and security forces have been put on high alert and all exit points along the Indo-Myanmar border have been immediately sealed.
Sources said security forces have now sealed all exit points from Zunheboto, Mon and Tuensang districts and intense operations have been launched against the NSCN (K).
At least five Assam Rifles personnel have been killed in ambush in the past one month in Kohima alone. Ever since the NSCN (K) abrogated ceasefire agreement with the Central government on March 27 , there have been series of incidents, where suspected cadres of NSCN (K) have been targeting the security forces.
