New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was adjourned twice during question hour on Tuesday after members from Telangana raised the demand for a separate high court in the state.
Speaker Mahajan rejected the motion for adjournment moved by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi on the issue of the court and by the Congress and the AAP over the molestation and death of a girl in Moga in Punjab.
Former Punjab CM Amrinder Singh, the Congress’ deputy leader in the Lok Sabha, and AAP’s Bhagwant Maan moved adjournment motions to discuss the Moga case but the speaker rejected the plea.
Speaker continuously asked the members to raise the issue during zero hour but the TRS protests went on. (IANS)
