St. Anthony’s, Jail Road Boys win

Shillong: St. Anthony’s School defeated Madrasa Hemayul Islam by 27 runs in the 10th I.P Das Memorial (Junior) Cricket Tournament organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the SCA Cricket Ground, Polo, on Saturday
Electing to bat first, St. Anthony’s scored 82 runs losing 5 wickets in allotted 15 overs. Yash scored 21 runs off 25 balls and Anchit scored 18 runs off 17 balls. Md. Saif and Md. Shahid took 2 wickets each for Madrasa Hemayul Islam.
In reply, Madrasa Hemayul Islam were dismissed for 55 runs in 12.1 overs. Md. Aftab Alam scored 11 runs off 11 balls. Nangsanbor and Anchit bagged 2 wickets each for St. Anthony’s School.
The second match was interrupted by rain and ‘bowl out rule’ came into action where Jail Road Boy’s School won the match.
