Country star Taylor     Swift comforted a     female fan named Kaileen who lost her mother via Tumblr in honour of Mother’s Day.
Kaileen wrote an open letter to Swift, 25, on Tumblr on the special day telling the songstress how hard Mother’s Day for her after she lost her mother, reported a website. “It’s me, iced coffee girl, and I could really use a hug,” Kaileen prefaced before recalling sweet memories with her mother. She continued, “Today is Mother’s Day, a day most people spend with their mothers thanking them for everything they do. But, for me, I can’t spend this day with my mom because she’s in heaven. Last January, my mom passed away and a piece of my heart left with her.”
Kaileen said her mother was a best friend to her as she was the one that would always be there when Kaileen was both happy and desperate. Kaileen also said that her mother was the one she loved the most. Hence, after her mom died, Kaileen felt “empty.” Kailen claimed Swift helped her cope with her dark moment.
“But as you’ve done many times before, you filled that hole. You took me out of my sad place and made me happy,” Kaileen said. “And because of you, I got through something that was the hardest thing in the world for me.”
She concluded, “Today’s going to be another hard day, but I know with you on my side I can get through anything. I love you. Always, Kaileen.” After noticing the touching letter, Taylor wrote back to the unfortunate fan on her own Tumblr, offering her words of courage. (PTI)
