Disneyland anniversary special coming to ABC

Disney fans should look out for an ABC special next year, which will celebrate Disneyland’s 60th anniversary. The show will air on the network in February, live from the Anaheim theme park that opened on July 17, 1955, reported Deadline. ABC – which is owned by The Walt Disney Company – already has close ties to the Disney universe in shows such as “Once Upon a Time”, as well as its Marvel projects including “Agents of SHIELD” and the Disney-owned “Muppets”, which will return to TV screens this year. The announcement of a Disneyland 60th Anniversary special came from ABC Entertainment Group president Paul Lee at the network’s Upfront presentation. (PTI)

Vanessa Hudgens’ dress drama for Broadway

Actress Vanessa Hudgens has confessed she struggled to get used to her costumes during the dress rehearsals for the Broadway adaptation of “Gigi” and often found herself stumbling over the 1950s’ style gowns. “It’s very interesting. It’s like a minefield and there’s just trains everywhere. Your like, ‘Don’t step there! Don’t step there! Don’t step there!’,” Hudgens said. “It’s really incredible to think about the fact women used to wear these dresses every day and that’s how they lived their lives. I’ve definitely stumbled a few times. My feet have done me wrong many times,” she added. While rehearsing for the show, the 26-year-old also faced her fear of heights. She said that she finally got used to being thrown around during the energetic dance routines which were choreographed by Broadway favourite Joshua Bergasse, reports femalefirst.co.uk. “I showed up for my first day at work at the rehearsal space and Joshua Bergasse – he is amazing – said, ‘What should we do? Maybe like pick her up, put her on your shoulder, run over here. You fall back into these other guys’ arms, they’ll throw you up and you will land’.” “And I was like, ‘You want me to do what? Are you sure about that, because I don’t know? I didn’t sign up for this.’ But sure enough after a couple of times squealing, every time they pick me up, you get used to it,” Hudgens said on American TV show “The Talk”. (IANS)

Kris, who appeared at Kelly Rutherford’s Children’s Justice Campaign event in Beverly Hills, was happy to talk about her former husband’s new journey in life and insisted he and their entire extended family were taking his transition in their stride, reported Us magazine. “(The) family’s doing great, and Bruce is doing great. And everybody’s super supportive,” Kris said. Asked about how Kris is herself adjusting to the situation, she said, “Good. (I’m) really happy for him.” ( PTI)
