Kohima: The National Socialist Council of Nagaland Reformation or the NSCN (R) has hinted that ULFA commander-in-chief Paresh Baruah manipulated NSCH(K) chief SS Khaplang and was behind the recent attack on security forces that killed eight jawans at Changlangshu village in Mon district.
The The National Socialist Council of Nagaland Reformation or the NSCN (R), in a statement on Friday said that the attack on the security forces by Baruah was to make inroads in Assam to recreate a situation in his favour.
It said, S S Khaplang has miserably failed to understand that he has been unconsciously hooked by the other insurgent groups to serve their purpose and has reduced himself to just a mere facilitator for them.
Khaplang has been misused, misguided and misled as any loss of life particularly on Sunday in not only unethical as a Christian but it is also new to the Nagas, ”the statement said.
It said that the attack has clearly indicated that Baruah’s involvement since he has a negligible presence in Assam, he is trying to use the dense and thick forest in the border areas along with some Naga cadres to make his presence felt on the Indian side. ”Khaplang has not only made a mockery of the Naga Political movement, but he has also diluted the most sophisticated Naga movement by lending support to the ULFA and the Meiteis, who are otherwise staunchly negating all positive development in the Naga areas, the statement said.
