Kohima: The eight Nagaland Congress MLAs, who were suspended by the All India Congress Committee and issued show-cause notices on May 9, have submitted their replies to AICC on Saturday at New Delhi.
In a statement here, Nagaland CLP leader Tokheho Yepthomi said as per AICC’s directive all the eight MLAs submitted their replies.
He said AICC disciplinary committee would now examine their replies and only then a decision would be arrived at.
He said the MLAs have cited “solution to Naga issue” as the main reason for joining Naga Peoples Front led Democratic Alliance of Nagaland  Government headed by T R Zeliang.
Chief Minister T R Zeliang had mooted the idea of an opposition less Government to facilitate to the solution of the Naga political solution and subsequently revived the Joint Legislators Forum.
Citing this, Mr Yepthomi said if Congress MLAs did not join the movement then Nagas would think that they (MLAs) were against solution to the decades old Naga problem. (UNI)
