The opening ceremony of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana Skill Mela will be held on May 25 from 10 am at the Don Bosco Hall, Shillong.

Order
The District Magistrate, South West Khasi Hills, has prohibited vehicles carrying load capacity of nine tonnes from plying through the weak bridges especially in Ranikor areas. The order comes into force with immediate effect.
The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills, has ordered all coal-laden trucks passing through the district to carry proper documents and their number plates should be clearly visible and readable.
IGNOU exam
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), term end examination will commence from June 1 and continue till June 27. 5049 candidates will appear in the examination under IGNOU Regional Centre, Shillong. Candidates can download their Admit Card/Hall Ticket from IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in

Missing
Chaluna M. Marak (35), of Mibonpara village under Chokpot police station in South Garo Hills has been missing since March 20, 2015. She is married to Sapjendro J. Sangma and they have three children. Any information on the missing person can be given on 096156-68623.
Clarification
The Rymbai Village Dorbar has clarified that Phaibiang Shylla, who is alleged to be involved in the kidnap and rape of a 14-year-old student recently, is not a resident of the village.
