SHILLONG: A conglomeration of five Garo Hills based organisations have asked the State Government to ensure non-inclusion of non tribals in the GHADC electoral rolls besides barring them from contesting in the upcoming GHADC elections, and at the same time warned that they would mobilize the people of Garo Hills and boycott the October 12 polls.

In a memorandum submitted to District Council Affairs Minister H.D.R. Lyngdoh, the organisations including GSU, FKJGP, ADE and others said that the GHADC should remain in full control of the indigenous people.

They further demanded full reservation of seats for tribals in all the District Council constituencies in Garo Hills.
