NONGSTOIN: Fullmoon Thabah, a resident of New Nongstoin, who was involved in illicit liquor supply, was beaten mercilessly by the Village Defense Party (VDP) on September 16, and was later admitted to the nearest Civil Hospital.
According to Thabah, he was apprehended by the Village Defense Party (VDP) of New Nongstoin while he was supplying illicit liquor and was brought to Dorbar hall for interrogation. He added that the VDP members tied him with a rope and forced a cloth in his mouth and after thrashing him, the VDP members handed him over to the Nongstoin Police.
The Police without any delay sent him for a medical check-up as he had sustained severe injuries.
