State seeks 15 companies of Central forces

SHILLONG: The State Government has sought  21 companies of Central Armed police for smooth conduct of the GHADC elections scheduled to be held on  October 12.
Indicating this here on Sunday,  a reliable source said that the  Central Armed police forces includes personnel  from CrPF, ITBP, Rapid Action force and others.
According to the source, in addition 15 companies of Meghalaya police would also be deployed during the GHADC polls.
The police chief of five districts of Garo Hills have been instructed to prepare  a detailed security plan   for the smooth conduct of election.
