SHILLONG: Soon after the Cabinet approved the proposal to table the Prevention of Disqualification (Members of the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya) Amendment Bill, 2015 in the ongoing session, Minister for District Council Affairs and Transport, H.D.R. Lyngdoh, annunced his decision to resign as MDC on Wednesday.
“Being part of the Cabinet decision, I have decided to take the lead by resigning from the post of MDC. I will tender my resignation on Wednesday,” Lyngdoh said.
He added that his resignation will put an end to the allegation against him that he speaks differently in the KHADC and in the Cabinet.
