Three- day state mourning

SHILLONG: The state government  has declared  three  days of  state mourning starting from  Sunday on account of the demise of sitting legislator from  Nongstoin Hoping Stone Lyngdoh on Saturday
The government in statement said that as a mark of respect to late Lyngdoh,  the state government  has declared 3  days of state mourning from September 27  till the state funeral day on September 29 to be held at  Mawkyllei, West Khasi Hills.
During the period of state mourning, there will be no official entertainment and the national flag will be flown at half mast at all government establishments throughout the state.
