Shillong: Riti Academy of Visual Arts will hold a Colloquium on Dream, Folklore and Art slated to be held on September 29 and 30 to mark its Silver Jubilee celebrations.
The main promoter of Riti Academy, Raphael Warjri said, “I have always dreamt of a proper place for artists to showcase their artworks and we have endeavour to avail whatever space is affordable in hand.”.
“This place at Umsohsun is not only a historical landmark but also an emotional space associated with the kinsfolks,” he added.
The Colloquium on Dream, Folklore and Art is the maiden venture on the new Gallery. A host of academicians, scholars, artists, shamans, magicians, gamblers and people with affinity to the subject are expected to participate in the colloquium.
The artists will also create artworks on the given theme, working alongside the deliberations on both the days. The artworks will be on display in the Gallery.
