LTS celebrates its 56th Anniversary

SHILLONG: Leadership Training Service (LTS) movement organized a programme centered on the theme ‘Clean and Green Earth’. Its 56th anniversary was also marked with several events like animation on leadership skills, sharing of ideas, release of the annual bulletin and cultural programme.
Member of Parliament, Vincent Pala, Chairperson of the State Planning Board, L. Rymbai, other dignitaries were present for the programme and paid floral tribute to late A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, here on Sunday at St. Margaret’s school.
Vincent Pala gave a speech and released the annual bulletin which was titled ‘Spark’. He also said that the urgent need of the world today is to take care of the planet. “Each one should make a decision to save earth and plant saplings”, he said.
A workshop on leadership skills was also conducted by Mark Stone Laitphlang. Over 250 students of the LTS movement from 12 schools, 20 LTS animators were present.
