The runway of the     Spring-Summer 2016     edition of Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) will platform the fashion statement of 56 designers, who will showcase their collections at the five-day event through 30 shows here.
In total, 115 designers — on the runway and stall area — are taking part in the event, which will begin from October 7 at the NSIC Grounds here.
The organising body Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) announced the schedule of shows lined up and the list of participating designers on Wednesday.
FDCI president Sunil Sethi noted that the edition will be an “exuberant spectacle of the best talents from all over the country”.
“I’m delighted to announce the schedule for the upcoming season of AIFW, as we are geared up for a hearty mix of established gurus and newcomers, who will add buoyancy to the event,” Sethi said in a statement.
Susan Saideman, head of Amazon Fashion, said that one can “look forward to a promising and exciting” event.
Sanjay Garg of the Raw Mango will open the Spring-Summer edition, while the name of the finale designer is yet to be announced. (IANS)
