Top NDFB(S) commander held with arms

Guwahati: Acting on specific information, the Indian Army and Assam Police in a joint operation launched in the wee hours today apprehended the self-styled deputy commanding officer of the NDFB(S), identified as UdiyachalDwimary alias Udangcha from Chirang district near Assam-Bhutan boundary, according to a Defence source here.
The terrorist is a cadre of the 31st batch, trained in Myanmar. One 7.65 mm pistol, some ammunition and two hand grenades were recovered from the terrorist. He was involved in killing of Muslims in Baksa district of Assam in 2014.
He is a top echelon, hard core cadre and wanted for some subversive activitiesIn a separate joint operation launched by the Army and Assam Police early this morning apprehended another NDFB (S) terrorist, Sandhulal Basumatary alias Shakal alias Birkan G Basumatary from Kokrajhar district.
One 7.62 mm pistol and some ammunition was recovered from the terrorist.
