Panaji:  Adidas and FC Goa have announced a three-year extension of their association by launching FC Goa’s home and away kits for the 2015 season of the Indian Super League at the Adidas brand centre here.
The German sportswear giant has again partnered with FC Goa as their kit manufacturer.
The FC Go home kit was unveiled in the presence of coach Zico, former Brazil national team captain, Lucio along with Gregory Arnolin, Romeo Fernandes, Mandar Rao Desai and Jofre Mateu Gonzalez.
The new kit includes the latest in Adidas lightweight and breathable technologies to ensure the players take to the pitch the most performance driven kit design.
Featuring Adidas patented climacool technoloy, the kit is designed to keep the players dry for longer and reduce the amount of weight they carry during the 90 minutes which could make all the difference in the final 10 minutes of an intense football match.
The kits features the classic V-neck cut collar and iconic 3-stipes design on the shoulder. Addressing the media, Damyant Singh, Brand Director, adidas India said “This is important partnership for Adidas, given the rich football culture and legacy in Goa.
“The design of the kit will not only appeal to the loyal supporters but also tourists, and will showcase Adidas expertise in creating state of the art performance product.
“The upcoming season for FC Goa looks highly promising as they have not only retained the presence up front, but they have also kept their goalkeeper who recorded the highest number of clean-sheets last season.
FC Goa CEO, Sukhwinder Singh said “This is an extremely crucial year for us, having retained some of our vital players this time. FC Goa looks really promising this ISL season. I am delighted that FC Goa has extended its association with adidas, who have an unrivalled history, legacy and heritage in world football”. (PTI)
