SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has allegedly kept aloof from the first anniversary programmes of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan organised on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Friday.
While Governor V. Shanmuganathan was visible in various programmes, the chief minister was neither present in the programmes organised in the city nor was seen at any function elsewhere in the State.
When contacted, an official said that the chief minister was in Garo Hills and might have been busy due to the upcoming GHADC polls.
