Pharmacists to agitate on Oct 14

SHILLONG: Along with the rest of the country, all drug stores in Shillong will remain closed on October 14 as part of a nationwide agitation.
General Secretary of Meghalaya Healthcare Association, B. Chakraborty, said the nationwide agitation, to be effective in Shillong also, has been called to oppose the move of the Central Government to    regularize the sale of medicines through internet.
He added that the introduction of e-Pharmacy will hamper the interest over of 8 lakh chemists and the 80 lakh workers and their families across the country.
