NONGPOH: Two citizens – Comfort Dolloi and Wickly Marwein – have convened a meeting of Rangbah Shnong, social and religious leaders and others at Dorbar Hall Patharkhmah on 14 October at 10 am to discuss the fallout of the unnatural death of late P.J. Marbaniang, the SIT report, arrest of five persons including Jirang BDO, FIR against the KHADC, Forest, Tax and Police officials and other agendas.
The citizens said that the unnatural death of Marbaniang was the result of illegal transportation of coal and the act of few greedy men which has tarnished the image of western Ri Bhoi.
He added that the meeting will seek to demand filling up the post of Jirang BDO and Patharkhmah outpost in charge with honest and competent officers.
