Shillong: Langsning registered an emphatic 3-0 victory over Laitumkhrah on Wednesday’s Shillong Premier League match at Polo Grounds following an all round contribution. Langsning launched an early assault, scoring as early as in the 7th minute through Kyrshan Lynshing for a quick lead. Laiumkhrah struggled to cope with the mounting pressure applied by the opposition attack and conceded a second goal in the 28th minute as Samsong Nongrum’s shot found the back of the nets, allowing Langsning a healthy 2-0 lead at the break.
The nifty Victor Shadap added a third goal to Langsning’s tally in the 63rd minute before they eventually demolished Laitumkhrah 3-0 at full time.
Kharang beat Sanmer by a convincing 3-0 margin in a Second Division game at Polo Grounds after scoring all their goals in the initial half. Custom Warlarpih provided a 14th minute lead before Shahbok Diengdoh scored his side’s second goal in the 22nd minute. Kharang further extended their lead courtesy a 26th minute goal by Kobenstar Myrmein as Sanmer were left with virtually no chance of a comeback.
Reo Lyndem scored twice for Lummawbah to allow them a 3-1 win against Risa Colony in a Third Division match. Reo scored in the 51st and 60th minutes while Edilbert Shanpru gave Lummawbah the lead with a 15th minute goal. Bhakupar Kurbah equalised for Risa Colony but his efforts were wasted as they crumbled to a 3-1 loss.
In another Third Division game, Nongmynsong also scored three goals over Mawryngkneng’s nought. Kordor Myrthong (24), Rooney Thabah (41), and E. Nongkynrih (80) were Nongmynsong’s goal scorers.
Thursday’s Shillong Premier League match will be played between Shillong United FC and Malki at 3pm.
