SHILLONG: Two college students from the city were detained while they were attempting to transport two packets of ganja to Dimapur in Nagaland.
Police said the two youths were caught when they went to a travel agency at Dhankheti and attempted to get the packets delivered to a person in Dimapur.
Police said the staff at the travel agency checked the packet and found the ganja after which he alerted the traffic police personnel who caught the two youths.
The accused, however, denied having any knowledge about the ganja and claimed that they had been instructed by a friend to send the packets to Dimapur on his behalf.
