Ardent likely to take over as HSPDP president

SHILLONG: HSPDP legislator Ardent M Basaiawmoit is in all probability going to be elected as the new party president during the general council meeting scheduled to be held at State Central Library on Friday.
HSPDP legislator K.P. Pangniang informed that the party’s central executive committee has nominated Basaiawmoit as the acting president.
The party is also likely to discuss the by-election to the vacant Nongstoin seat and revitalizing the party   for the by-polls to the six district council constituencies of the KHADC and one in JHADC.
