SHILLONG: Former ANVC B- Chairman Bernard Marak who came in third position in the GHADC polls in Tura has questioned the motive of the anti-poll activists who have become silent after the polls. “The silence of the anti-poll activists after election compels one to question the real motive of the ‘boycott’ drama”, Marak said in a statement issued to the media on Saturday Marak, however, expressed happiness over his performance in the election though he could not win the seat. “I may not have won the election, but I am happy that l could win people’s heart. I m grateful to those people of Tura who voted for me”, Marak said. He pointed out that the final figures would have changed if the election was ‘free and fair’ and was not disturbed by vested interests on polling day.
