SHILLONG: The CSWO has condemned the kidnapping of Chokpot BDO, Jude Rangku T Sangma and demanded his immediate release.
“Acts of terror cannot be accepted in a civilized society and there should be zero tolerance towards such incidents,” CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing said here on Thursday.
The CSWO pointed out that though there are alleged cases of extortion by personnel from police department, taxation department and enforcement, all along routes that trucks pass through, they are spared and the honest are targeted.
“This is not to be entertained and the society should not keep quiet to such acts of terror,” she said.
According to CSWO, the public and honest staff of the Government need protection and if the police cannot give protection, then even the politicians, bureaucrats, senior police officials and others should not be allowed the luxury of special protection.
