Govt nod for notaries

SHILLONG: For the first time in Meghalaya, the state government has appointed notaries which will help people to authenticate and attest legal   documents as earlier the task was carried out by the Judges.
As per the recent notification issued by the Meghalaya Governor, the government has appointed seven advocates as notaries.
While advocate Daboo Tulshyan will function in West Garo Hills as notary, advocate Golam Mustafa was appointed in South West Garo Hills and retired advocate C.M. Adhikari will function at Ri Bhoi.
The notaries who will function in East Khasi Hills include advocates Nelson Kharnarbi, Ibaphidahunshisha  Lyngdoh Mawphlang, Jennyca  F. Blah and Jyotsna Datta Roy.
