Wild elephants destroy crops

RESUBELPARA: A herd of elephants which crossed from Dorengtip village under Goalpara district of Assam into Khardang village under North Garo Hills on Wednesday night destroyed standing crops in the area.
The elephants, numbering around 80-100, however, spared the dwellings.
Till the filing of this report no government official had visited the village to take stock of the damage.
