Question papers leaked, hints investigation

SHILLONG: Barely a couple of days after the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner asserted that the SSLC selection exams will go ahead as scheduled despite reports of leakage of question papers, initial investigation has indicated that the papers were leaked.
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi said that the inquiry is being done by Education department and the leads indicated that paper was leaked.
“They are trying to find out from where the paper was leaked,” he said adding that it is yet to be ascertained as to question papers of how many subjects were leaked.
Bakshi informed that the final report is expected to be out in a couple of days’ time.
It may be mentioned that the general secretary of Garo Hills Deficit School Teachers’ Association (GHDSTEA) had earlier sent The Shillong Times a scanned copy of MIL (Assamese) claiming that the papers have been leaked. He also claimed that question papers of six subjects had been leaked.
