Fraud
D. Wanmi Laloo lodged a complaint that on June 17 one Skem Thubru took a loan of Rs. 2,80,000/- from Miet Chyrmang with an agreement to hand over a plot of land in the event of her inability to return the loan amount. However, she has neither returned the loan amount nor handed over the land as agreed earlier.
Money looted
On October 29 at around 2.20 am, unidentified miscreants looted Rs. 18,900/- from a truck (NL-01G-8596) driven by Tarun Rajkhowa near Barrack Petrol Pump, Byrnihat (RB). In this connection, Police arrested one Om Rai and recovered Rs. 4,000/- from his possession.
On October 29 at around 5.40 pm, unknown occupants of one Maruti car (ML-05M-0566) robbed Rs. 2000/- from a truck driver at NH-44 near Mawryngkneng (EKH).
Debit cards stolen
On October 29, unknown miscreants stole two SBI ATM cards belonging to Miss C Vanlalsiamliani from her house at Madanrting, Shillong and fraudulently debited Rs. 7,500/- from her account.
Accidents
On October 29, one truck (ML-08B-0377) driven by Shibul Saha (50 yrs) fell into a gorge at Sibbari (SGH). As a result, driver sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Baghmara.
Man kills wife
On October 25, one Dures Phawa murdered his wife Julimon Dkhar at Mopyut village (EJH).
Theft
Yoowaneka Biam of Mawkyrwat (SWKH) lodged a complaint that on Oct. 24 around 7 pm, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 90,000/- from her box.
