NEHUTA felicitates new VC

SHILLONG: The 10th Vice Chancellor of North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Prof. Sri Krishna Srivastava was felicitated by the North-Eastern Hill University Teachers’ Association (NEHUTA) on October 29 in the Auditorium of the NEHU Old Guest House amidst a large gathering of teachers.
Prof. Srivastava was appointed by the Visitor of NEHU, President Pranab Mukherjee, on September 21.

(Contd from P-3) Prof. Srivastava, a product of IIT Kanpur, earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in the discipline of Chemistry.
Prof. Srivastava is a recipient of Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship and was also awarded by the Chemical Research Society of India this year. Prof. Srivastava has been a member of the first Academic Council of the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi and also the Central University of Bihar, Patna. He is also a member of NAAC peer team and Visitor’s nominee (Central University). Prof. Srivastava has been Professor in Chemistry since 1995 in Manipur University and was the Head of Department of Chemistry for two terms.
The Vice Chancellor was welcomed by the President of NEHUTA, Prof. Vanlalruata Rengsi  and other members of the Association.
