SHILLONG: While Congress candidate Gabriel Wahlang, HSPDP’s Dios Jyndiang and Independent candidate Fenela L Nonglait set to contest the Nongstoin by-election, the United Democratic Party (UDP) is yet to name its candidate who will fight for the prestigious Assembly seat.
UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh on Sunday informed that the party’s district unit will meet on Monday to take a call on the matter.
The UDP leader, however, refused to divulge the names who are in the fray for the UDP ticket.
The NPP has already backed out of the electoral contest.
