Extortionist lynched

TURA: Villagers from Silkigre village in Chokpot region of South Garo Hills have lynched an extortionist who allegedly came to the area to demand money on Monday night.
Villagers apprehended the unidentified man who allegedly came to the area with an accomplice to collect money from the inhabitants of the place. The accused was severely beaten by the mob while his accomplice managed to escape. The body of the assaulted man was recovered on Tuesday morning lying outside the village.
