The Department of Home Science and Nutrition, St. Mary’s College in collaboration with Indigenous Terra Madre, Dept. of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya and NESFAS, Shillong, will organize a International Symposium on ‘Indigenous &Traditional Foods and their Place in Contemporaneity’ on November 5 at the college auditorium at 2:30 pm.

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, has declared November 5 as Dry Day in the entire district in view of the proposed sit in demonstration to be organized by the Synjuk Ki Nongsynshar Shnong Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep on Thursday. All bonded warehouses, IMFL shops, bars, hotels, clubs and out stills shall remain closed on the day.
