Awareness programme
The Directorate of Field Publicity, Jowai and Nongstoin units, in closed co-ordination with District Medical & Health Officer Wapung PHC, East Jaintia Hills, schools, Rangbah Shnong and social leaders of Tuber village organised a public awareness programme on Mission Indradhanush & RMNCH&A at Dorbar Hall of Tuberwah village under Khliehriat C&RD Block on Friday.
MeECL golden jubilee
The Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited will mark the closing ceremony of its Golden Jubilee celebrations on November 9 at its Guest House at Umiam. Chief Secretary P.B.O. Warjri will be the chief guest.
Legal services day on Nov 9
The District Legal Services Authority, North Garo Hills, will observe Legal Services Day on November 9 at SGSY Hall, Resubelpara Development Block premises, at 11 am. The programme will be attended by the local NGOs and SHGs. Deputy Commissioner S.C. Sadhu being the chief guest.
PDS rice
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, has informed that rice for the month of April to Sept, 2015 under Annapurna Scheme has been released and will be distributed free of cost at the scale of 3.86 kg per card per month through the respective Fair Price Shop dealers.
Unclaimed body
A patient Bijoy Mog (male, 40 years) expired on November 2. Relatives have been asked to collect the body from the morgue of Shillong Civil Hospital within November 9, failing which the body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
