Bihar Assembly results

Editor,

It has been a sigh of relief and a joyous occasion for the people of Bihar who ultimately gave the “Mahagathbandhan” a thumping victory over BJP led NDA alliance even though early trends showed neck to neck race between the two. Various reasons may be cited like popularity of Mr. Nitish Kumar, R.S.S.’s chiefs remark on reservation, beef issue or absence of local leadership but it has to be realised that its not negative campaigning but a positive campaign that yields positive results. No matter how much the N.D.A. led by Mr.Modi and Amit Shah tried to bifurcate and divide the people of Bihar they showed them that they are united. Now the need of the hour for the N.D.A is to have a “chintan baithak” and to clearly understand that politics of intolerance and hatred will be made to bite the dust.

Your’s etc.,

Zaki Anwar Siddiqui,
