Truck carrying cattle seized   
On November 14 at around 1 am during vehicle checking at Pynursla, East Khasi Hills, police detected a truck (ML-05F-0431) driven by one Madras Nongkhlaw, loaded with six heads of cattle meant for smuggling to Bangladesh.
Illegal TV channel transmission
Mahesh Kumar Pandit of MSM Media Distribution Pvt. Ltd. (a sole and exclusive agency for distributing and broadcasting of TV channels and integrated Digital Satellite Receivers cum Decoder Box), lodged a complaint that M/s Pearls Cable, franchise of Manthan J.P Ventures Pvt. Ltd., is illegally retransmitting TV channels without authorization from the Distributor.
Girls knocked down
On November 14 at around 6.45 am, a motorcycle (ML-05J-5668) ridden by one Kamal Thapa (22) knocked down two women pedestrians identified as  Amy Grace Malngiang (16) and Eva Mary Rynthong (25) at 5th Mile, Upper Shillong. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were removed to Shillong Civil Hospital. Police have detained the motorcycle rider and matter is under investigation.
Bangladeshi held
On November 12 at around 12.30 pm, VDP members of Umkiang in East Jaintia Hills apprehended one Bangladeshi national identified as Md. Mozruk Alam (20 ), while he was attempting to steal cattle near Dona River in East Jaintia Hills. However, his accomplices managed to escape.
Attempt to murder
On November 11 evening, unidentified miscreants armed with lethal weapons attempted to murder one Oni Sumer (49) in his betel-leaf plantation at Kynjoin Umran, Nongpoh, Ri Bhoi.
