Assam’s senior IAS officer put under suspension

Guwahati:An additional chief secretary of Assam government, V S Bhaskar, IAS, has been suspended formisbehaving with a senior Army official during an official dinner hosted by the state chief secretary, V K Pipersania to bid farewell to GOC 4 Corps, Lieutenant General Sarath Chand, in Assam Administrative Staff College on Sunday last.
A top official in the state personnel department informed that the IAS officer was suspended with immediate effect after the state chief secretary took strong exception to his misconduct during the official dinner party.
The suspended additional chief secretary was in charge of state tourism, science and technology department.
The suspended IAS officer Bhaskar allegedly behaved in a manner unbecoming of a senior officer. He allegedly misbehaved with the senior Army official. The dinner party was attended by states senior officials and Army officials.
