SHILLONG: A GNLA cadre, who was instrumental in kidnapping Chokpot BDO Jude Sangma, was arrested by the police on Friday evening.
Police from Chokpot arrested Toberth G Momin (24) of Ganggugre village.
He was under surveillance for some time as his activities had come under the police scanner.
Police said that the cadre was also instrumental in providing information about the movements of the BDO to the GNLA. A bike, mobile and three SIM cards belonging to the accused were seized by the police for investigation.
