Assault
On November 22, one Balbinder Singh of ARC Happy Valley, Shillong assaulted his wife Kashmiri Kaur and their son in their residence at Happy Valley, Shillong. Victims sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Shillong.
On November, one Fedrick Kharbudnah (21) assaulted Juster Kharduit at Mawpat, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to NEIGRIHMS.
On November 21 at around 1 am, an unidentified miscreant assaulted Atul Mondol driver of truck AS-01DD-7715) at Khanapara (RB). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Guwahati Medical College.
Theft cases
Kynsai Paslein lodged a complaint that on November 7 at around 11 pm, one Aibok Marboh (32), driver of his truck (ML-10A-5275), stole Rs.2 lakh cash and a cheque of Rs. 30,000 from the aforementioned truck. Police arrested the accused.
Graycila Shabong lodged a complaint that between November 1 to 5, one Maximus Raju Chyne borrowed from her, one pair of gold earrings valued around Rs. 60,000, a cell-phone and Rs. 2,500 cash with a promise to return the same on November 6. But till date, Maximus Raju Chyne has failed to return the aforementioned items.
S. Shylla lodged a complaint that on November 20 at around 10.30 am, his employee B. Khongsya stole 2.13 tolas of gold valued around Rs. 99,000 from his Jewelry shop at Iawmusiang, Jowai (WJH).
Yoowandaka Najiar lodged a complaint that an unknown miscreant broke into her house at Mookyrdup, Jowai (West Jaintia Hills) and stole Rs.1,80,000 cash and one TV set valued around Rs.13,000.
On November 22 at around 2 am, one unknown miscreant stole one power tiller valued around Rs. 1,44,130 from the residence of Deimonlang Suting at Madan Thangdngiem Tyrshang (West Jaintia Hills).
On November 23, one Md. Makibur Rahman (55) attempted to steal money from the cash counter of Woodland Hospital Pharmacy at Dhankheti, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
