Accident
On November 25, one Maruti car (ML-06-7569) driven by Hunlang Pariong (25 years) fell into a gorge at Nongriat village (West Khasi Hills). As a result, driver and one occupant sustained injuries and were removed to Shillong for treatment.
Rape attempt
On November 25 at around 7.30 pm, one Richardstone Snaitang (25) attempted to rape a 15-year-old girl at Nonglang village (South West Khasi Hills).
Extortion
On November 25, Police conducted search operations at Na’nil A’pal and Gimbil A’ga (North Garo Hills) and arrested one Sadam A. Sangma (24) in connection with an extortion case under Mendipathar Police Station.
Threat
Rupaia Ryngkhlem and Liza Sutnga of Demthring village lodged a joint complaint that on November 24 at around 8.53 pm, one Mechak Shylla and his friends abducted them in a vehicle (ML-04C-1999), abused and threatened to hand them over to a pimp in Khliehriat (East Jaintia Hills).
