Assessment camp for differently abled

SHILLONG: The Rural Electrification Corporation Limited and the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India will be organizing a two-day assessment camp for the differently abled in collaboration with Meghalaya Parents’ Association for the Disabled on December 5 at Science Hall Auditorium, Nongpoh, and on December 7 at Ladies Recreation Centre, Dwar Jingkyrmen, Dhankheti, Shillong.
All differently abled people of Ri Bhoi and East Khasi Hills districts may attend the camp along with documents like Disability Certificate, ID (both original & photocopy), address or residential proof (photocopy) and income proof or BPL card (both original & photocopy), etc. for registration to avail aid and appliances free of cost through NRL.
Those who have already availed benefits of aid & appliances free of cost under any government or NGO or semi-government schemes in the last two years will not be required to attend the camp.
