Sawkmie visits Umshing to take stock of Synod preparations

SHILLONG: Mawlai MDC P.T. Sawkmie visited Umshing on Tuesday to look into the preparations for holding a Synod in 2017.
Christian faithful under Synod Mawlai will gather at Umshing Ground for the Sunday service during the Synod while the rest of the services will be held at Mawlai church. In this connection, Sawkmie will meet the Governor to apprise him of the needs for the smooth conduct of the service which includes better roads, water, electricity etc., and for the Government’s support in this regard.
