SHILLONG: The State government is not in hurry in selecting nominated MDC to the KHADC.
Indicating this here on Friday, Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said that since it is a political decision, it will be taken after consultations.
“For the KHADC, it is the State Government which selects the nominated MDC while in case of GHADC, the executive committee recommends the name,” he said.
HOLIDAY LIST: The State Cabinet on Friday approved the list of holidays for the year 2016.
As per this proposal there would be 23 general holidays, including Saturdays and Sundays, 21 holidays under Negotiable Instrument Act including yearly closing of bank accounts besides 11 days of restricted holidays.
