Abductees released

NONGSTOIN: Two muster rolls of Soil & Conservation Department, Moheshwar Das and Niren Ch Kalita, who were abducted on the night of December 1 were released on Wednesday.
Police Officials from West Khasi Hills told pressmen that the duo was abducted from Kamriangshi plantation area by unknown miscreants suspected to be part of a local gang of dacoits.
Reliable sources said that it is suspected that Das and Kalita were released after the families paid ransom to the kidnappers.
Police source said that both Das and Kalita were released at Dhupdara area of Assam.
